Polish Defense Minister Wladyslaw Kosiniak-Kamysz said Russia is regularly testing NATO’s eastern flank, including over the Baltic Sea.

Axar.az reports that Kosiniak-Kamysz made the remarks in a post on X.

He said a Russian Il-20 aircraft was intercepted by Polish fighter jets about 40 kilometers off the Polish coast.

The minister also noted that these are not isolated incidents, but part of sustained pressure, adding that Polish airspace is under constant surveillance and the Polish Armed Forces remain on alert.

It should be noted that Poland’s Defense Ministry reported a similar incident on September 3.
