Klitschko urges residents to consider temporary relocation

Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko has urged residents to temporarily leave the city amid the threat of a large-scale utility crisis.

Axar.az reports, citing Ukrainian media, that Klitschko advised residents who have relatives or friends outside the capital to consider leaving Kyiv temporarily.

“Disruptions to water supply infrastructure could lead to a serious and large-scale crisis,” he warned.

It should be noted that a series of strikes on Kyiv has caused widespread power outages. Metro services and electric surface transport have been completely suspended, while problems have emerged with the sewage system and interruptions to the water supply have been reported.
