Yandex data center hit by drone attack in Russia

Ukrainian drones have struck a Yandex data center in Russia’s Kaluga region, damaging part of the facility’s infrastructure and disabling several modules.

Axar.az reports, citing Russian media, that Yandex said the damage could cause disruptions to some of its services. The company added that the full extent of the damage was still being assessed.

“Several modules of the data center have been completely put out of operation,” the company said, noting that only equipment had been damaged.

Emergency services and company specialists are working at the site. No injuries have been reported, and Yandex said the safety of people remained its top priority.
