French delegation visits Syria, slams France's Syria policy

A French delegation, headed by former French Transport Minister and National Assembly member Thierry Mariani, has met with Syrian government officials in Damascus and condemning France's hostile policies against the country.

Axar.az reports citing TASS.

The delegation met with Syria's Speaker of the People’s Assembly Hammoudah Sabbagh.

Sabbagh stressed the importance of European delegates visiting the country and enlightening world public opinion on the suffering of the Syrian people at the hands of foreign-backed terrorism.

Mariani expressed regret for his country's destructive role in Syria.
