The secret of Macron's visit to Beirut - Karasik

French assistance is key now because of the nature of the explosion and its aftermath.

Axar.az reports that the statement came from an expert at the US Gulf Analytical Center Dr Theodore Karasik.

The issue here is that because of gross negligence resulting from decades of mismanagement and fiefdom development help to create this dysfunctional country that barely works.

"The charm of the country keeps it together but that's now been shattered. Big questions are being raised about governance."

Stating on the French President Emmanuel Macron's visit to Lebanon, Karasik reminded that France has a common past with Lebanon:

"France is one country that has a history with Lebanon and now it can potentially come in to help reconstruct the country across many different spheres. While some people may argue that France is practising is colonialism this argument is faulty because of the immediate requirements for Lebanon itself. France can offer baby steps to reconstruction. If there was a deployment of peacekeepers of for this new chapter in Lebanon's history it's absolutely necessary."

The Lebanese created this problem and again an outside Powers going to have to help them if they can't do it themselves. The Old Lebanon is dead.
