Moscow wants help from Ankara

Moscow is in talks with Ankara to release Russian citizens detained in Libya.

Axar.az reports that, the statement came from Russian President's Special Envoy for the Middle East and Africa, Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Bogdanov.

It should be noted that Russian citizens, employees of the National Values Protection Fund Shugaley and Sueyfan were arrested in Libya in May 2019.

Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharov said that a written guarantee had been received from Libyan Foreign Minister Mohammad Tahir Siyala that the problem of Russian citizens detained in the country would be resolved in the near future.
