One of the topics to be discussed during the meeting between Russian President Vladimir Putin and Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan on August 5 may be related to Karabakh.

Axar.az reports that Sergey Markov, the general secretary of the Russia-Turkey Social Forum and the director general of the Institute of Political Research, said this while assessing the issues to be discussed at the meeting of the two leaders.

"First of all, the topic to be discussed by the parties is the issue of joint avoidance of sanctions imposed by the United States and Europe. The second issue may be related to the grain, and the third issue may be related to Turkey's possible operation in Syria. In my opinion, on the one hand, Russia is interested in taking into account Turkey's security interests, and on the other hand, in order to prevent a possible conflict between the Turkish Armed Forces and the Syrian army, in preparing various options for maintaining peace with Turkey.
