The Düsseldorf Supreme Court said that Iranian officials were behind the terrorist attack on a synagogue in Bochum, Germany last year.

Axar.az reports that the German publication "Spiegel" published information about this.

After the statement of the court, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Germany summoned Iran's temporary charge d'affaires to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Düsseldorf High Court sentenced 36-year-old Babak C., a 36-year-old Iranian-German dual citizen, to 33 months in prison for the terrorist attack.

It should be noted that in November 2022, Babek C. wanted to attack the Jewish synagogue located in the city of Bochum with an incendiary substance. When he saw that the synagogue was guarded by the police, he threw the prepared incendiary substance into the nearby school building.

The German court said that the facts proving the terrorist's connections with the Iranian authorities have been discovered.
