The late Iranian president Ebrahim Raisi's wife, Jamileh Alamolhoda, may run in the upcoming snap presidential election in the country.

Axar.az reports that "Azad Iran" has released this information.

Conservatives have brought up Jamileh Alamolhoda's candidacy so that she can both continue her husband's path in the government and potentially become Iran's first female president. However, if she registers, she will have to wait for the reaction of the Guardian Council overseeing the Constitution.
