Western countries put pressure on Yerevan, prompting them to take an anti-Russian position in a number of cases and limit cooperation in the CIS area.

Axar.az reports that this was said by CIS General Secretary Sergey Lebedev.

According to him, this primarily harms Armenia itself:

"I see great pressure from the West on our Armenian partners, which in some cases prompts them to take an anti-Russian position or limit their cooperation within the CIS. I note with regret that Armenia has recently stopped participating in many CIS forums. I think this CIS "It is bad for Armenia. I say as the Secretary General of the organization, many experts admit that it is also bad for Armenia."
