Millions in Cuba experienced a two-day power outage after a major power plant on the island failed, leading to the most extensive blackout in years.

Axar.az reports that that while authorities have managed to restore electricity to some areas in Havana, home to 2 million residents, much of the capital remains without power. The blackout's effects extend beyond just lighting; essential services like water supply, which rely on electricity for pump operations, have also been disrupted.

In response, many people have turned to cooking on makeshift wood stoves in the streets to prevent their food from spoiling in refrigerators.
