Denmark has promised 27,000 euros to every Syrian refugee who decides to return to Syria voluntarily.

Axar.az reports that Kaare Dubvad Bek, Minister of Integration of the country, said this in an interview to "Bild".

He said that an additional 6,700 euros will be paid for each child.

"There are 45,000 Syrians living in Denmark: 28,000 adults, 17,000 children. If everyone applies for the program, the state will have to allocate about 865 million euros. The government considers this step justified because most of the refugees are unemployed and living on social benefits, which in the long run puts more costs on the budget," he said.

A similar initiative is being discussed in Germany, but the fee is 1,000 euros.
