Turkiye detains architect in deadly hotel fire case

The number of people detained in connection with the hotel fire in Turkiye’s Bolu province has reached 12.

Axar.az reports that, citing Turkish media, the hotel’s architect, 72-year-old retired Ali B., was detained by the police at his home in Sancaktepe.

He is the 12th person to be detained in the ongoing investigation into the hotel fire.

It is noted that while reports yesterday indicated the death toll had risen to 79, Turkish media today states that 78 people died in the fire.
