Any new ceasefire in Ukraine can only lead to lasting peace if NATO significantly increases its defense spending and continuously threatens the Kremlin.

Axar.az reports that former UK Prime Minister Michael Fallon made this statement.

He noted that Russia has violated both the Budapest Memorandum and the Minsk Agreements:

"Although a ceasefire in Ukraine seems closer than ever, I do not believe it will put an end to Russian dictator Putin’s fantasies of reviving the Soviet Union. NATO must make these fantasies impossible to realize."
