The body of Barak Tzach, 40, who went missing after a shark attack near Hadera beach, has been recovered, concluding a large-scale search operation.

Axar.az, citing JP, reports that Tzach, a father of four from Petah Tikva, was snorkeling and filming sharks when the attack occurred.

His wife, Sarit, confirmed his death on Facebook, denying rumors that he was feeding the sharks. A fisherman witness said Tzach was calmly swimming when sharks began closing in. He tried to push them away with a GoPro stick but was attacked as he returned to shore.

The search involved multiple Israeli agencies and ended when divers from the Lehava Unit located his remains. Several beaches in the area have been closed after additional shark sightings.

Experts say the sharks were likely drawn by recent fish deaths near the Alexander River. While shark attacks are rare, officials warn against approaching them, stressing that they are wild animals and can react unpredictably.
