Germany approves €4M in arms exports to Israel

Since the change of government in Berlin, the new federal government has approved arms exports worth just under four million euros to Israel.

Axar.az reports that a member of the Left Party had submitted a related inquiry to the Ministry of Economic Affairs. No weapons of war were included.

This is the first time the black-red government has disclosed information about arms exports to Israel. The volume of exports is therefore relatively small.

Previously, the traffic light coalition and later the red-green minority government had approved exports worth nearly half a billion euros following the Hamas terrorist attack on Israel.

Recently, calls have emerged from within the SPD to halt arms exports to Israel.
