Azerbaijan's oil and gas revenues have equalized

For the first time in history, Azerbaijan's foreign exchange earnings from oil and gas exports in the first five months of this year were equal.

Axar.az reports that the statement came from the chairman of the parliamentary committee on economic policy, industry and entrepreneurship Tahir Mirkishili during the discussion of the updated draft law "On the state budget of Azerbaijan for 2022."

According to him, this is due to the jump in gas prices: "In the first three months of this year, oil revenues in the balance of payments amounted to about $ 3.8 billion, but revenues from gas exports amounted to about $ 3.5 billion."
