Another country wants to buy gas from Azerbaijan

Serbia plans to import Azerbaijani natural gas from 2023.

Axar.az reports that Zorana Mihajlovic, Minister of Energy and Mining Industry of Serbia, said this. The minister said that with the completion of the construction of the pipeline between Serbia and Bulgaria, his country can start buying gas from Azerbaijan next year.

It should be noted that on July 8, the Greece-Bulgaria Interconnector (IGB), which will transport Azerbaijan's natural gas to Bulgaria, was commissioned. This interconnector will enable the transportation of Azerbaijani gas to the Balkan countries.

Thanks to the commissioning of the pipeline with Bulgaria, Serbia will also have the opportunity to buy liquefied natural gas via Greece.
