The state debt of Azerbaijan was announced

As of July 1 of this year, Azerbaijan's public debt was 16,151 million manats or 14.5% of the projected gross domestic product for 2023.

Axar.az reports that the Ministry of Finance has released information about this.

According to information, 11,180.7 million manats or 6,576.9 million US dollars of the debt is foreign, and 4,970.3 million manats is domestic state debt. These are 10% and 4.5% of the expected GDP, respectively.

The main part of the internal state debt consists of state bonds issued for the purpose of financing the state budget deficit and supporting the development of the state securities market. 28.5% of the state bonds in circulation during the reporting period are 1-year, 54% are 2- and 3-year, and 17.5% are 5- and 7-year state bonds.
