FES increased the discount rate

The US Federal Reserve System (FES) increased the discount rate by 25 basis points, up to 5.25-5.5%.

Axar.az reports that this was reported by FES.

"The committee aims to achieve maximum employment and inflation at the level of 2% in the long term. In support of these goals, the committee decided to increase the target range for the federal funds rate to 5.25-5.50%," the statement said.
