Production at Europe's largest gas field suspended

In Groningen, the Netherlands, gas production at Europe's largest field has been suspended.

Axar.az informs that the ANP agency reported on this.

It was reported that the Dutch authorities had already decided in June to completely stop gas production in Groningen from October 1.

At the same time, it is possible to resume the operation of the field in emergency situations, for example, due to a cold winter.

It should be noted that the Groningen deposit was discovered in 1959.
