Mastercard Reduces Global Workforce

Axar.az reports that the financial services company Mastercard is cutting its global workforce.

According to the company's announcement, this reduction is part of an organizational restructuring plan:

"The company has developed a restructuring plan to accelerate its growth and invest in long-term opportunities. This process will affect 3% of the company's workforce. Notifications to the affected employees are expected to be completed in the third quarter. Support will be provided to these employees."

US media indicates that the number of affected employees is approximately 1,000.
