SOCAR and Gazprom reached an agreement

The State Oil Company of the Republic of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) and the Russian company "Gazprom" have agreed on the expansion of a multifaceted strategic partnership.

Axar.az reports that this was reported in the press service of the Russian company.

The mutually beneficial partnership between "Gazprom" and SOCAR is developing dynamically. We are talking, among other things, about the "North-South" project, about the signing of a large-scale scientific and technical cooperation program in September of this year. An agreement was reached on the expansion of the multifaceted strategic partnership," said Alexey Miller, head of Gazprom.

It should be noted that the delegation led by Gazprom Chairman Alexei Miller participated in the events held within the framework of the state visit of Russian President Volodymyr Putin to Azerbaijan. Putin arrived in Baku on August 18 for a two-day visit. The heads of state held talks and signed some joint documents.
