Iranian rial hits historic low

Today, the exchange rate of the national currency of Iran, the rial, fell by 2% against the US dollar, reaching a new historical minimum of 756,000 rials (75,600 tumans).

Axar.az informs that the depreciation of the rial accelerated after the victory of Donald Trump in the US presidential elections. Thus, after Trump announced that he would put "maximum pressure" on Iran, the rial began to fall rapidly in November.
