Lawmakers have proposed a mandatory requirement for migrants to present certificates confirming they are not carriers of infectious diseases upon entering Russia.
Axar.az reports that this was stated by Yaroslav Nilov, head of the Russian State Duma’s Committee on Labor, Social Policy, and Veterans’ Affairs.
“Foreigners coming to Russia to earn money should not bring their problems here—they should help solve ours. A corresponding draft law has been submitted to the State Duma for review. Upon crossing the border, migrants will be required to present valid health insurance and certificates proving they are not infected with HIV, hepatitis B and C, syphilis, or tuberculosis. They must also submit test results confirming they are free of narcotic and psychotropic substances. Without these documents, they will not be allowed to enter Russia,” he said.
