"Vaccination nationalism" will create new complications

"Vaccination nationalism" could lead to a new coronavirus mutation.

Axar.az reports that the statement came from Tedros Gebreyesus, Director-General of the World Health Organization.

According to him, the weakness of cooperation between the countries is the biggest obstacle to vaccination in the world.

He said that despite the increase in the number of vaccine options, it has met a small part of global demand.

Gebreyesus said rich countries, which account for 16 percent of the world's population, account for 60 percent of vaccine stocks. According to him, if a large part of the world's population is not vaccinated, then the efforts of rich countries will not be productive.
