The Munich Security Conference was one of the memorable events which was held last week. Let's also note that this is a traditional Security Conference and 55th year of this conference held in Munich.

The Munich Security Conference means great importance for the sustainability of the World Security System. As its seen from its name, this conference presents a unique platform for combining efforts to eliminate the threats to global security, the development of mechanisms, and the promotion of initiatives.

There are new observations, new trends in the Munich conference. So that, recent conferences show that this platform can not maintain its previous effectiveness. There are several reasons for it:

Firstly, the Munich Conference is not held for the solution to the world's security problems, but for the world states to use it for geopolitical rivalries. For example, if we pay attention to the preceding 54th Munich conference, we will see that mainly the power centres of the world have made mutual accusations. It is kind of means that, the security problems the world were out of focus.

The last conference again proved that the global states, as well as the leading countries of the world, are trying to secure their geopolitical interests and at the same time to be acquitted for their behaviours. From this point of view, there were mutual accusations at this conference, especially in the focus of attention on US and European relations. The first United States did not pay attention to the conference. For example, if Donald Trump's from the United States was to be considered one of the principal people to be involved, the US president's National Security Adviser, John Bolton, was supposed to be. John Bolton did not take part in that.

In addition, State Secretary Pompeo also did not participate in this conference. All this indicates that the US does not consider this platform so important. It was represented by Mike Pence. Democrat Nancy Pelosi, the head of the lower house of Congress, presented the United States and it was interesting here that America's two positions were noticeable. As the representative of Democrats, the first Mike Pence introduced the United States's harsh accusations to Europe, and the conference called on the European countries to openly halt the nuclear deal with Iran in the ultimatum language. It also indicates that America does not accept the sovereign, independent position of European countries, and calls for European countries to take that step as an interesting step. This is part of the matter.

One of the prominent figures of Democrats was Job Wayder. They also urged European countries to be just as a patient. That is, after the Trump period, relations between Europe and the United States would be soft, as before. This once again proves that in the period of Donald Trump's rule, the United States is polarizing polarization. Settlement of positions creates serious problems.
The issue was that the problems of the world were largely associated with the geopolitical rivalry of Russia and China. The charges against Russia were sounded. In particular, Angela Merkel threatened to strengthen sanctions against Russia if tensions escalated in relations with Ukraine. Ukraine will try to keep the transit country's capabilities. This once again proves that there is no indication that the coordination of positions between states can be seen. According to my personal observations, the last Munich conference also showed that Ukraine was not as relevant to Europe as it was before. This issue also attracted attention. Because, for example, a traditional meeting of the quartet was organized within the Munich conference.

Four of them were Germany, France, Russia and Ukraine. That is, the settlement of the conflict between Ukraine and Russia was realized within the framework of this platform. At this time, there was no such meeting. The initiative did not take place. From this point of view, I want to emphasize that Ukraine can not keep its previous importance for Europe. Russia's Foreign Minister Lavrov, who represents Russia, pointed to the fact that Europe is experiencing its downturn. That is, it is necessary to update the idea of the Common European House. But the European countries did not take this view seriously.

I want to emphasize one point that, there supposed to be the meeting of the Azerbaijani and Armenian foreign ministers within the framework of the Munich Conference. But this meeting did not happen either. I consider that the cancelling of this meeting showed that the Munich Security Conference is literally moving away from resolving global security issues. Because, Armenia's open-minded separatism and aggression policy in the region creates criticism not only for the region's security but also for international security with their negative precedent.

Finally, I want to point out my observations and analysis that the 55th Munich Security Conference has shown that it didn't and won't has the potential for solving global security issues.
