On September 14, President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev met with Japanese Deputy Foreign Minister Manabu Hori.

Axar.az reports that, Manabu Hori stressed the importance of the signing of a new agreement on the development of Azeri, Chirag and Gunashli fields in Baku and congratulated the President of Azerbaijan on this occasion. He congratulated Azerbaijan and Japan on the 25th anniversary of establishing diplomatic relations.

The head of state underlined the importance of expanding mutual trade relations, noting the importance of investing in industry, free trade zone, pharmacy, agriculture, tea and petrochemical industries.
