The Main Clinical Hospital of the Ministry of Defense hosted a scientific-practical therapeutic conference on the topic “Past, present, and future of COVID-19 infection in the Armed Forces", organized by the Medical Prevention and Ecology Office of the Medical Department.

Axar.az reports citing MoD that first, the memory of the national leader Heydar Aliyev, and Shehids, who sacrificed their lives in the battles for the independence of the Motherland, was honoured with observing a minute of silence. The National Anthem of the Republic of Azerbaijan was performed.

During the conference, medical specialists’ reports on diagnostics, principles of treatment of COVID-19, and other topics were heard. It was noted that in order to prevent the spread of COVID-19 infection in the Azerbaijan Army, urgent measures were taken in coordination with the Ministry of Health and the Management Union of Medical Territorial Units, and the work in this sphere is still underway.

In the end, doctors and medical workers who distinguished themselves in the activities against COVID-19 infection were awarded honorary diplomas.
