Doctor of Historical Sciences Aydin Balayev's monograph "Azerbaijani Turks. The main stages of national formation in the XIX-XX centuries" has been published.
Axar.az reports that the book, published by JekoPrint Publishing House, is dedicated to the study of the main stages of the formation of the Azerbaijani people, the largest nation in the South Caucasus, in the XIX-XX centuries.
The study also pays special attention to the ancient roots of the Azerbaijani Turks, who played a role in the creation of our homeland in the east of the South Caucasus. The book also presents a short historical excursion that follows the main stages of the formation of the Azerbaijani ethnos.
However, the main purpose of the study is to understand and highlight the radical socio-economic and cultural changes that took place in the late XIX-XX centuries, which played a key role in the formation of the Azerbaijani people. The book examines the evolution of the national identity of Azerbaijani Turks in the last two centuries.
The book is intended for historians, ethnologists, political scientists and a wide range of readers interested in our national history. The book is in Russian.
This work is one of the three works that the scientist completed in the last days of his life, but did not have time to publish.
