The world's largest Christmas tree is built in Portugal.

It was reported that the 16-meter-high Christmas tree was created by a group of Losabon residents.

The authors of the idea said that 70 people from 11 to 88 years of age joined the project.

"We never thought that the project would be so successful. At first we thought about a small tree 3-4 meters high. Then, seeing that many people will participate in this work, we switched to a 16-meter-high knitted Christmas tree, which entered the Guinness Book of Records," said the project coordinator.
