On 8 August, Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov and Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan held a phone conversation.
Axar.az informs according to the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry, Fidan warmly congratulated Azerbaijan on the historic achievements secured during the Azerbaijan–Armenia leaders’ meeting in Washington.
The ministers emphasized that the agreements reached — along with the Joint Declaration signed by the leaders of Azerbaijan and Armenia and witnessed by the U.S. president — carry great significance for ensuring peace and stability in the region.
They noted that the initialing of the peace treaty, as well as the joint call to dissolve the OSCE Minsk Process and its related structures, marks a major contribution to peace. The ministers said they expect the OSCE to adopt a decision on dissolving these structures soon.
The call also covered issues stemming from the Azerbaijan–Turkiye alliance and cooperation within regional and international organizations.
