Azerbaijan will confidently continue its efforts to advance the peace agenda.
Axar.az reports that this was stated by Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov in a post on X regarding September 27 – Memorial Day.
“On September 27, five years have passed since the start of the 44-day Patriotic War, which ended nearly 30 years of occupation and aggression, laying the foundation for the realities of the current post-conflict period and the peace of our region. September 27 – Memorial Day is a proud date on which we commemorate our martyrs who gave their lives for our territorial integrity and sovereignty.
We ask God’s mercy for all our sons and daughters who gave their lives for the restoration of historical justice and international law, and wish healing to all war participants who lost their health on this path. In the present period, when lasting peace and stability are closer than ever, our country will confidently continue its efforts to advance the peace agenda,” the minister emphasized.
