On June 14, 2023, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan Jeyhun Bayramov met with the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan Bobur Usmanov.
Axar.az reports that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs told that during the meeting, the parties discussed the perspectives of the comprehensive development of the bilateral cooperative relations between Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan based on historical friendship and brotherhood, and the issues arising from the routines of high-level contacts carried out on a regular basis.
Minister Jeyhun Bayramov, not only on the bilateral level, but also on international platforms, emphasized the issues of cooperation and mutual support. noted that a dynamic growth in bilateral relations in trade, industry, cooperation, tourism and other fields has been observed.
The Minister thanked for the support provided by Uzbekistan in the direction of the restoration of our territories freed from occupation, and emphasized that the construction of a school in the city of Fuzuli was highly appreciated in this regard.
Thanking the Deputy Minister Babur Usmanov for the reception, he emphasized Uzbekistan's intention to further develop relations with its friend and brother Azerbaijan and talked about new opportunities in this direction.
During the meeting, the parties also exchanged views on other bilateral and regional issues of mutual interest.
