Azerbaijan's Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov met with the delegation headed by Mehmet Samsar, head of the Eastern Europe and South Caucasus General Department of the Turkish Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) in Baku.

It was reported that during the meeting, issues arising from the existing alliance relations between Azerbaijan and Turkiye, cooperation within multilateral formats, as well as regional and international security issues were discussed.
It was emphasized that such mutual visits and inter-MFA consultations are important in terms of conducting detailed discussions on bilateral and regional issues on the agenda between the two countries.
The necessity of intensifying cooperation between the two countries within the framework of international and regional organizations, especially the Organization of Turkic States, including the participation of our countries, within the framework of various tripartite and multilateral formats was noted.
Minister Jeyhun Bayramov informed the other party in detail about the process of normalization between Azerbaijan and Armenia. It was pointed out that the challenges facing the peace process, including the ongoing claims against the territorial integrity and sovereignty of our country and the claims in the Armenian Constitution, the steps that threaten regional stability by contributing to the militarization of Armenia by third countries, are still pending.
It was noted that such threats hinder peace and stability, mutual cooperation in the region, the development of regional transport relations, regional normalization in general, and the importance of eliminating these threats was emphasized.
The meeting also discussed other bilateral and regional issues of mutual interest.
