The Foreign Minister of the Republic of Poland, Radosław Sikorski, called the Foreign Minister of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Jeyhun Bayramov.

Axar.az reports that this information was shared by the Azerbaijani Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

It was noted that the Polish Foreign Minister once again expressed condolences regarding the tragic crash of a passenger plane belonging to "Azerbaijan Airlines."

The Polish side stated its readiness to provide possible technical support in investigating the cause of the tragedy.

Minister Jeyhun Bayramov thanked Poland for the condolences and expressed solidarity.

Subsequently, priorities for Poland’s presidency of the European Union (EU) Council over the next six months, Azerbaijan-EU relations within this framework, and the future prospects of the Eastern Partnership were discussed in detail.

It was emphasized that political, economic, alternative energy, humanitarian, and other relations between Azerbaijan and Poland have broad prospects, and the importance of intensifying mutual visits and political dialogue for the development of ties was highlighted.

During the phone conversation, the ministers also exchanged views on regional and international security issues.
