Angry agricultural unions do not intend to wait until January 13 to meet with Prime Minister Francois Bayroud and want decisions taken as soon as possible.

Axar.az reports that the tractor caravan of farmers who wanted to enter Paris for a protest demonstration was blocked at the entrance of the capital.

Sebastien Hérault, a member of the steering committee of the Rural Coordination, called on the farmers to demonstrate in Paris and make people hear their anger.

S. Ero condemned the use of helicopters and armored gendarmerie vehicles as well as police resources by the Ministry of Interior to block the tractor convoy and stop farmers' protests.

Demonstrators are demanding the alignment of French standards with European standards and an end to controls.
