Azerbaijan, Georgia FMs discuss deepening strategic ties

While on an official visit to Tbilisi, Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov visited the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Georgia.

Axar.az reports that he was welcomed by his Georgian counterpart Maka Bochorishvili. A bilateral meeting between the two ministers has begun. Following the talks, the foreign ministers are expected to issue a joint statement to the press.

A one-on-one meeting has begun between Azerbaijan's Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov and Georgia's Foreign Minister Maka Bochorishvili.

According to the Azerbaijani Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the current state and prospects of Azerbaijan–Georgia bilateral relations, regional cooperation issues, and opportunities for deepening strategic partnership are being discussed during the meeting.

A broader-format meeting has also taken place between the foreign ministers of Azerbaijan and Georgia.

The Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry reported that the delegations discussed key areas of cooperation, including energy, transport, regional connectivity, and the prospects for expanding both bilateral and multilateral collaboration.

Regional and international security issues of mutual interest also featured prominently on the agenda.
