A geomagnetic storm is expected in Azerbaijan until September 11.

Axar.az reports that this information is provided by the Department of Astrophysics at the Faculty of Physics of Baku State University (BSU).

It was noted that due to several M-class and other flares occurring in certain regions of the Sun, solar activity levels have increased:

"Spacecraft have observed coronal mass ejections directed toward the Earth. On September 10-11, solar activity will be at M-class (R1-R2 - moderate average) and possibly at X-class (R3 - strong) levels."

It was mentioned that the geomagnetic storm is currently at a moderate level:

"Starting around 5:00 PM on September 10, the geomagnetic storm will rise to G1 (moderate) level. By the night of September 10 and early morning of September 11, it will reach G2 (average) level. Around 1:00 PM on September 11, the geomagnetic field will return to normal background levels. The geomagnetic storm will be mostly observed at higher latitudes, while in mid-latitudes, it will be felt moderately."
