The working time norm and production calendar for 2026 were approved by the Resolution of the Board of the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population.

The working time norm for 2026 states that, in accordance with the Labor Code and the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers No. 362 dated December 2, 2025, "On determining the days of Novruz, Ramadan, and Kurban holidays for 2026, the following days are not considered working days in 2026:
January 1, 2 - New Year's holiday;
January 20 - National Day of Mourning;
March 8 - Women's Day;
March 20, 21, 22, 23, 24 - Novruz holiday;
March 20- 21 - Ramadan holiday;
May 9 - Victory over Fascism Day;
May 27, 28 – Eid al-Adha;
May 28 – Independence Day;
June 15 – National Salvation Day of the Azerbaijani people;
June 26 – Day of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Azerbaijan;
November 8 – Victory Day;
November 9 – Day of the National Flag of the Republic of Azerbaijan;
December 31 – Solidarity Day of Azerbaijanis of the World.
In accordance with the Labor Code and the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers, in 2026, in a five-day working week, March 9, 25, 26, 27, and 30, May 11, 29, and November 10 are days off, in a six-day working week, March 25, 26, May 29, and November 10 are days off.
February 2026 consists of 28 calendar days, and the year consists of 365 calendar days.
In 2026, the five-day work week will have 241 working days (5 of which are pre-holiday days and 1 of which is the National Day of Mourning), 107 non-working days (5 of which are determined by the coincidence of holidays that are not considered working days, 3 of which are determined by the coincidence of the Eid al-Adha and Ramadan holidays with other holidays that are not considered working days), 19 non-working days (3 of which are overlapping) and 1 National Day of Mourning.
In our country, the duration of normal daily working hours cannot exceed 8 hours, and as a rule, a five-day work week with two days off is determined.
The duration of normal weekly working hours corresponding to normal daily working hours cannot exceed 40 hours.
The working time norm for 2026 is determined based on an 8-hour working day for a 40-hour five-day working week, and in this case, the duration of weekly working days is shortened by one hour on non-working days before holidays, voting, and the National Day of Mourning.
According to the legislation, the annual working time norm for a 40-hour working week for 2026 is 1922 hours. For employees working a 40-hour working week in workplaces with a six-day working week, the annual working time norm of 1922 hours calculated for a five-day working week in 2026 should be applied.
