On January 19, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev met with Andre Esteves, Chairman of BTG Pactual, one of the leading investment banks and asset management companies in Brazil, within the framework of the World Economic Forum in Davos.

Axar.az reports that President Ilham Aliyev discussed Azerbaijan's macroeconomic stability and fiscal discipline, as well as its long-term development strategy, stating that the policy implemented in this direction has had a positive impact on further strengthening the country's position as a reliable partner in international financial markets.

The Head of State emphasized that international rating agencies around the world have further increased our country's credit rating, raising it to investment grade and a positive outlook.

Speaking about the global geography of the company he heads and his experience working with institutional investors, Andre Esteves provided information about the investment approaches applied by BTG Pactual in various regions.

It was noted that preliminary discussions have recently been held between the State Oil Fund of the Republic of Azerbaijan and this company on possible areas of cooperation and strategic priorities, and dialogue on issues of mutual interest is continuing.

During the conversation, views were exchanged on global economic processes, the current situation in international financial markets and the approach of institutional investors to various regions, as well as the investment environment in emerging markets, long-term investment approaches and mutual investment projects.

It should be noted that BTG Pactual, founded in 1983, manages assets of more than half a trillion US dollars.
