President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev met with Director-General of the World Health Organization Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus in Davos on January 19.

Axar.az reports that during the conversation, the previous meetings between the head of state and Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus were recalled with satisfaction.

It was emphasized that Azerbaijan has been successfully cooperating with the World Health Organization, and the country's support for the projects implemented by the organization in various regions of the world was noted. In this regard, Azerbaijan's voluntary financial assistance to a number of countries during the COVID-19 pandemic was particularly emphasized.

The meeting exchanged views on the prospects for cooperation between Azerbaijan and the World Health Organization.
