Aliyev appoints new Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources

Rashad Sahil oglu Ismayilov has been appointed Azerbaijan’s Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources.

Axar.az reports that President Ilham Aliyev signed the decree regarding the appointment.

Prior to this, R. Ismayilov served as the First Deputy Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources.

The former minister, Mukhtar Babayev, was relieved of his duties on February 5 last year and appointed as the President’s Special Representative on Climate Issues. The position had remained vacant until now.
