Within the scope of the official visit to the Israel, Defense Minister Colonel General Zakir Hasanov has met with brother of Albert Agarunov, the National Hero of Azerbaijan, Rantik Agarunov, who lives in this country.

During the meeting, they paid tribute to the heroic sons of the Motherland, who sacrificed their lives for the territorial integrity and defense of the country and once again, recalled to A.Agarunov's life and his participation in battles. It was stressed that, like representatives of other peoples living in our country, this hero, who was of Jewish origin, always considered Azerbaijan as his homeland, fought for his native land and gave his life for its independence and sovereignty.

R.Agarunov, on behalf of his family, expressed gratitude to the Azerbaijani state for the care and high attention paid to his brother.
