Twenty-three years ago a very remarkable event took place in the history of our country. The ceremony of signing the "Contract of the Century" was held in the Gulustan palace in Baku under the chairmanship of great leader Heydar Aliyev, thus boosting the successful development of our country. On that day, I remember very well that day. Indeed, it was one of the most important steps in the history of Azerbaijan. The signing of the "Contract of the Century" is connected with the name of the great leader Heydar Aliyev.

Axar.az reports that these words were told by the President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev at the ceremony of signing a new contract for extension of Production Sharing Agreement (PSA) on development of Azeri-Chirag-Guneshli block of oil and gas fields by 2050.
