A course on International humanitarian law was held

A training course on international humanitarian law was held as part of the cooperation between the Ministry of Defense and the Representation of International Committee of the Red Cross in Azerbaijan for 2017.

Axar.az reports citing Ministry of Defence of Azerbaijan.

The aim of the course was to familiarize participants with the relevant laws and regulations of the belligerent states, as well as to exchange views on such issues as the procedure for action, security of the civilian population, protection of injured and sick persons within the framework of international law during military operations, assistance to conflict-affected civilians and solving their problems.

Having speech at the closing ceremony, speakers stressed the importance of holding such courses and practical use of the knowledge gained during the training period.

After the delivery of certificates to the officers, who successfully completed the course, a photo for memory was taken.
