On September 29, the Heydar Aliyev Center hosted a solemn ceremony marking the 25th anniversary of the National Olympic Committee of Azerbaijan.

Axar.az reports that President of Azerbaijan and the President of National Olympic Committee Ilham Aliyev, First Lady Mehriban Aliyeva and family members attended the ceremony.

The President of Azerbaijan, President of the National Olympic Committee Ilham Aliyev made a speech at the ceremony.

Then, the executive director of the European Olympic Committee, Janez Kocijanic, made a speech.

Then President of the International Judo Federation Marius Vizer made a speech.

Marius Vizer presented the highest award of the International Judo Federation - the gold medal to President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev.

The head of state expressed his gratitude to Janez Kocijanchic and Marius Vizer for the high prizes.

The ceremony continued with a concert program.
