Nizami metro station opens in Baku after restoration

The Baku Metro completed repairs of Nizami metro station, which was under restoration for about a year.

Axar.az reports that "we repaired the station at our own expense and during the restoration we preserved national architectural samples of the station, named after famous poet Nizami Ganjevi," the underground spokesman as saying.

The station was commissioned on 31 December 1976. Service life of escalators operated at the station will expire in 2025 and therefore their upgrade and overhaul of the lobby of the station is scheduled for that period.
