The royal couple enjoyed Azerbaijani cuisine at the new City Walk spot.

Axar.az reports that there’s nothing we enjoy more than seeing HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum out and about – even better when the Dubai ruler introduces us to a cool new dining spot.

Last week, Sheikh Mohammed and wife HRH Princess Haya bint Al Hussein were snapped at Baku Cafe, the latest eatery to open in City Walk. As the name would suggest, the restaurant serves up the traditional flavours of Azerbaijan.

According to the Embassy of the Republic of Azerbaijan to the UAE, the royal couple was among the first visitors to the cafe, which held its grand opening on October 21.

City Walk is also home to what appears to be one of Sheikh Mohammed’s favourite restaurants, Farzi Cafe – which is described as a “modern spice bistro”.

How do we know he loves it? Well, he’s been spotted dining there no less than four times (and it only opened in June last year).
