Level of children’s education is over 95% in Azerbaijan

There are no serious problems with children’s access to education in Azerbaijan, Afshan Khan, the UNICEF Regional Director for Europe and Central Asia (ECA), told reporters in Baku on Monday.

Axar.az informs that she noted that the level of education among children is even greater than 95 percent in Azerbaijan.

"The work carried out in this regard is commendable. The fact that children with disabilities benefit from education opportunities and integrate into society is even more important. Azerbaijan has achieved quite a lot in other areas too—in children’s both education and health,” noted the UNICEF regional director.

Ms. Khan stressed that Azerbaijan's achievements should be noted as remarkable phenomena in Central Asia and the European region, but it is important to continue this work for the future generations.
